is the first question that popped into my mind too. I can't imagine a scenario where a Dem presidential candidate wins AZ without Maricopa County. That would leave Pima County to do some mighty heavy lifting. Because I damn sure know my county (Gila) didn't go for Clinton.

A lot of red counties went blue, probably because of Perot. Clinton didn’t win The really red counties, but he won most everywhere else. And Dole barely won Maricopa.
