Dante claims the punishment for the fourth circle is to divide its residents into two groups, the hoarders and the spendthrifts, and make them fight by bumping these big chest pads against each other. That sounds like too much fun, so a better punishment would be to build a 500-foot silo out of glass, fill it with money then deploy demons armed with baseball bats around it to keep the greedy away from it.
