He played the role he was chosen to play - a houseplant in the background.

Trump definitely doesn't have a better nature. Pence should know that by now.

that Democrats are intent on going to court if Trump tries to pardon himself. Get Trump even more paranoid about that.

There is no way that could stand. It is in direct conflict with "No one is above the law." Period. End. Of. Story. It literally is making me insane to hear this "pardon himself" BS.

Imagine if it were true. There'd be literally no reason, in fact, one would be dumb, not to take advantage of that little loop-hole and go for it. Do whatever you want, you can't be held to account? It's literally laughable, yet, just heard Lawrence O'Donnell (sp?) say, "Yes, he can pardon himself, and with three tRump appointed Supreme Court Justices, they'd probably let him." I am going to go vomit now. Maybe he's hoping tRump will hear this and go for it?

If tRump tries this, he risks it not working (it won't), and then he's F'd. Much better to take the safe course, resign and hope Pence keeps his promise, which he will because he'd wet his pants if he tried not to. Done and done.
