NEW: Experts tell me Project Veritas could face legal liability for its role in the Pennsylvania postal worker ballot tampering fiasco. Also, Project Veritas sent me about a million litigious emails for this article, which I’ve included. @Salon

Generally, I'm against more prisons, but for 2021, I'll make an exception. We need them filled to capacity.

over two legit cases of REPUBLICAN voter fraud but I haven't heard anything about the Erie postal-worker case. (Could be out there, I just haven't heard...)

They were also stupid enough to release at least two hours of the tape. The witness is going to be jello before this is over. I hope the postmaster has a bulldog of an attorney ready to file a slander and libel lawsuit. I suspect several attorneys would be willing to cut their usual percentages just for the pleasure of destroying Veritas. Consider the Oberlin College and Rolling Stone lawsuit judgements, Veritas should be put out of business.

is when dealing with extreme right-wing zealots.

I don't know why O'Keefe isn't already locked up, and could it have taken any longer for Wohl and Burkman to finally get charged?

I really do. But then I feel like he just kept digging himself deeper.

First, maybe he did hear something that he thought was suspect. What he should have done was reach out to the USPS' whistleblower hotline to register his concerns, especially since he wanted to be anonymous. Instead, he got tangled up with Project Veritas, who were definitely not going to keep his cover. He felt like they had his back, but they didn't.

Important - he accused two of his colleagues of election fraud - very serious. He let PV record (video and audio) him about what he heard and saw while he was delivering mail (probably shouldn't have done that while on the clock). He illegally taped a conversation with the Post Office's internal investigators which should have been confidential according to company rules. He set up a go fund me page to raise money (PV kept their hands clean although they encouraged him to do it). Then he allows PV to video tape him again accusing the Washington Post of saying he recanted his initial story, asking for the Post to recant his recant of his original story. What the fudge? Did he not review his own interview with the investigators?

And he did all this without having legal counsel. PV obviously didn't have his back - he was just their pawn in trying to smear the Post Office with a story about election fraud that ended up being one or two ballots and Hopkins claim is very suspect.

Even sadder is how many people think Hopkins is this great American hero because of what he did. People think he uncovered this huge Post Office plot to steal the election from Trump. (Two ballots and no one knows how they were voted). I'm trying to be a nice person but we have some stupid ass people in this country. This isn't a hard one to figure out.

I hope they nail this Project Veritas group. What they did and are doing is disgusting - ruining this young's man life for a false narrative. Like I said, I want to feel sorry for Hopkins, but I just really can't. He should have kept this internal by calling the office of inspector general's hotline. Instead, he put his reputation, and that of two colleagues, on the line.

In an otherwise excellent post, you called PV, VP a couple times.
I got a pinch confused until I saw you use PV later. Then it occurred to me, you flipped the letters.
But, the post is a good read!
