It's all about running out the clock

Trump is basically a one-trick-pony. He knows one strategy, and deploys it repeatedly.

He is trying to throw enough roadblocks so that, by their deadlines, counties or then states, cannot certify their elections. Then he has his chance to manipulate something.

Look back upon his life and you'll see the scenario playing out, over and over.

most states default to the original count, right?

So in this case "running out the clock" could only hurt trump. Of course, expecting him and his team to do ANYTHING competently is generally not a useful effort.

His real modus operandi is making such a nuisance of himself with lawsuits upon lawsuits that the institutions (usually banks with loans he hasn’t paid back, or contractors he’s failed to pay) decide to just give in, because the time and money involved are not worth it.

But this is different. First, it’s not about money, and second, there’s a decided deadline in place to verify the votes and assign the electors. And the suits are being thrown out with record speed, because they are entirely specious. There’s no dragging things on and on for years or even months.

The jig is up in a few weeks. He’ll have to go back to selling cheap neckties and suing the suppliers.

throw in the towel because they are sick of dealing with him. Unlike his usual opponents who had no leverage over him judges may, if annoyed enough, sanction the attorneys who are filing bs lawsuits. Lil’Donnie always punches down. Like most bullies he has no idea how to deal with someone who punches back.

He has thrown our Defense and Intelligence Agencies into total chaos.

Some players may take advantage.
