Something to look forward to

SOME PRESIDENTIAL PERKS will disappear for President Trump on Jan. 20, regardless of whether he concedes the election or continues to dispute the outcome. Donald and Melania Trump will continue to receive Secret Service protection, but other members of the Trump immediate family will lose theirs—except for Barron Trump, who is entitled to it until age 16. President Trump’s mobility will be affected, too: Palm Beach, Fla. allowed him to use a helipad at his Mar-a-Lago resort, but restricted its use to the president—not a former president.

His online megaphone could be at risk: Twitter allows extra leeway to world leaders to use the platform, even when they violate Twitter rules. Tweets may have restrictions placed on them, as many of Trump’s have in recent weeks, but he wasn’t at risk of being banned from the platform. However, repeated violations of Twitter’s bans on inciting violence and posting false information about public-health measures or voting as a former president could result in outright removal of tweets, account suspension or a permanent ban.

Mar-a-lago or the other Trump properties? Also, I know that former presidents can bill the government for office space, so what would stop him for claiming he was using space at Mar-a-lago as his official office, and funneling more tax dollars into his own pockets?
