Gov Inslee making a detailed, careful plan on new restrictions in WA

It’s pretty dreadful. We’ve doubled cases in the past two weeks. Hard restrictions are going into place. But there are thoughtful, reasoned decisions being made, a deep emotional appeal from exhausted essential workers, statewide economic help being offered, careful explanations being given—exactly what we are not getting at the federal level. I’m both comforted and enraged. Mike Pence is going to a fucking rocket launch. Asshole is golfing and tweeting. The fact they haven’t been tarred and feathered will grate on me forever.

I wonder if CA is next? We never reopened bars and indoor dining in LA county, but our case rates are climbing. At least we can have outdoor dining year round. Eighty-eight degrees tomorrow!

My hospital will go back to “no visitors” this week from what I hear.

We are full, absolutely insanely full, only 7 covid, but doing lots of surgeries, lots of folk coming through ED

I’m frustrated. This is mostly because of things like the big Halloween party that some people had for example they should get fined.
To day I was at my local grocery store semi early usually busy but not packed today it was.
If they could get the majority of stocking done at night when closed it would help a lot.
For one it would allow more people in the store because you wouldn’t have as many workers in the store. Maybe even some of these store shoppers find away that they can do some
Of the shopping for people durning early morning or late at night and have some special pick up times also would reduce amount of people In store.
Restraints could hang plastic from ceiling to create small pods around each dining area
Reducing the air being breathed to each individual area.

It’s frustrating Washington is trying to mostly do the right thing Idaho
Isn’t so they send Their sick people to our hospitals I’m frustrated enough right now to say to bad they can’t come to our hospitals. Unless they can prove they were “mask responsible”
I’m ranting because now
My family kids and grandkids can’t do Thanksgiving together.
We have had years in the past were on kid or another wasn’t at the table for various reasons.
We had none for Easter because of this
Covid crap. But it seemed especially needed to be together this year with all that’s happened. In the World and personal family stuff.

Again I am glad our governor cares about people but frustrated at the non compliance and the pain it’s causing people and businesses.

We miss our kids too. I have a new grandbaby who doesn’t live far away but that I’ve never held. I’m sick of Zoom gatherings and classes and meetings.

But you know what? I’m going to do them. And wear the masks. And get grocery delivery. And try to stay healthy so I don’t have a different medical issue that can’t get addressed. I’ll just give it all I’ve got and try to encourage like behavior. I don’t know how they could fine larger gatherings, honestly. People are so bizarre in their denial.

As for stores, they do stock at night as much as they can but things arrive at various times and they have to get them out there ASAP. I just hope everyone encourages masks and sanitation and doesn’t penalize anyone who misses work out of an abundance of caution.

With respect to your mother, do they all know with certainty there’s no exposure and they could...oh, you know where I’m going. I’ll wish them luck but I’d rather wish them cooperation. *sigh*
