With all the rethugs going to another network because they think fox is too liberal , who are the viewers going to be ?
I hope they go bankrupt.

(11,726 posts)We don't trust them. Unless they completely revamp and get respected journalists who are less biased on the network, it is very unlikely that any liberals would ever watch.
If they go for unbiased news, then they would be just one among a host of "vanilla" news competitors from CNN to Headline News, to MSNBC, and so forth. What set Fox apart was the obvious right wing bias and that they had a fan base in which 70% of conservatives only watched them. They will never get that kind of "loyalty" from liberals. We like to get our information from a bunch of different sources not just one.

(13,777 posts)... a home for non-Trump conservatives. I wish I had a link to Thomas Friedman talking about the need for a healthy conservative party as well as a healthy liberal one. I really do endorse that.

(1,602 posts)I've noticed a shift - their polling and data research was actually fairly good this year, and there was a very definite tension going on between their research organization and their entertainment side, especially in the last six months or so. I know that news organizations are going to have biases, but the ones that are taken seriously are the ones that generally are accurate, and I get the sense that they're realizing that so long as they are associated with the far-right, their brand isn't going to be taken seriously.
Doesn't mean I will go to Fox as a news source, only that there are encouraging signs that they're beginning to realize that it isn't in their best interests to continue lying.
