One interesting consequence of Covid is the fact that we have reached the stage where it is no longer really necessary to bring people to a particular place to accomplish meaningful work. While I'm sure he's already sick of it, I have to suspect that Biden has been on video conference calls with key people all across the country, developing his own intelligence network and perhaps even taking advantage of back-channel connections to the non-political civil service, as well as business leaders, governors, lawyers, and foreign officials.
