Latest right wing conspiracy going around our MAGAT community this morning.

And yes, people are still going out for morning walks wearing their MAGA gear.

So, my husband started taking our new puppy for walks a couple of weeks ago, and when he comes home to tell me about the conversations with people he's bumped into during his walks, he identifies the Trumpers by adding MAGA as their last name. Sharon MAGA is a favorite of ours, but today, he ran into Stan and Linda MAGA (I anonymously busted them for being in violation of our HOA rules by having a Trump sign in their window). Stan and Linda asked if my husband had heard the latest - that Soros is paying Democrats $10,000 to move to Georgia so they can vote in the run-off elections, and Castro (I'm assuming they meant Julian or Joaquin) is advertising this on his website. Dear Lord.

Going forward, I plan to continue to eliminate any chance of MAGAT contact for as long as I live. Fuck em all.

We are in one of 800 homes on a golf course in Florida (I know, I know). We moved off the water and sold our sailboat. Big mistake.
Anyway, I'd say at least 30% of the residents have dogs, perhaps more. The other afternoon, on our street, an older guy came out of his house and started screaming at my husband, yelling that he had to leave because dogs are not allowed in our community. He said it was illegal and became very agitated and very loud (animals are allowed, this guy is obviously senile). Another neighbor, in his 50's and on our trivia team and super, super smart came over to my husband and told him he should hire an attorney to go after the guy who was screaming at him. My husband responded with, "Ha ha, you mean like Rudy or Pam Bondi?" And then it began.... did my husband know about all the voter fraud that is going on - all the dead people voting and all the people in the States Attorney's office in Philadelphia that had quit because CNN was going to dox them. At least 3 times my husband asked him where he had heard all of this and never got an answer, so he finally said, "I guess you heard this on Faux News." Well, that set the guy off on another rant, "Hell no! You may not know this, but Fox News isn't conservative anymore."

we were among very few blue dots in a sea of red in our neighborhood. We avoided the MAGATs mainly because I retired early and my wife and I tend to keep to ourselves. Gardeners and quilters can really dig into their solitude!

I know there are loads of MAGATs around us here 4 hours west of Raleigh, in the mountains - but again, we avoid them and just do our thing at our home, our yard.

Nov 2020

.

A good realistic summary of the process.

The First Steps

Once you find a place to live in Georgia and start getting settled you’ll need to begin establishing official residency. This means transferring all of your information to Georgia and becoming a resident. Open a bank account and transfer your money from your current state to Georgia. Establish utilities in your name and complete an official address change with the United States Post Office. Gather all supportive documents and keep them in the same place. All of these documents help prove permanent residency.

Driver’s License and ID

Within 30 days of moving to Georgia, transfer your driver’s license and state identification card. Visit the Georgia Department of Driver’s Services and schedule an appointment. Bring your birth certificate, passport or immigration card to prove your identity and your lease agreement or a utility bill to prove that you now live in Georgia. You’ll surrender your current driver’s license and state ID and receive a temporary Georgia license and ID. Your permanent license and ID will arrive in the mail within a few weeks.

Once you receive your ID, register to vote in Georgia. Download an application online or visit your local election office, public library or other government office for a mail-in form. It can take about three to four weeks to process your application. To register to vote you will need to be at least 18 years of age and prove what Georgia county you’re a resident of.

ONE BILLION DOLLARS will buy us 100,000 votes. Even the math is ridiculous. Putting rules and regs aside, the basic logistics of doing this are insane too. Who is going to quit their job and establish another residence with all that entails for only $10,000? You'd have to rent, and that would barely cover first, last, a security deposit (got to get that utility bill or lease agreement to document residency), much less the added cost of moving expenses and anything you'd owe for breaking your current lease. And if you are homeless, if you're smart you'd just take the $10,000 and run! And that's assuming he's handing out the money ahead of the move. So basically, you'd have to be in dire enough straits for this to be an incentive, and then where are you going to get the money to effect the move if you have to prove new residency to get the Soros hand-out?

Suspending rational thought, common sense, and logic are all requirements for believing this crap. I won't even get into critical thinking skills because they obviously never cultivated that enough to be able to set it aside.

Those that didn't directly participate showed their support by sitting on their driveways dressed in their MAGAT wardrobes with the full picnic set ups - cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and waving hand-held flags. An elderly neighbor who is wheel chair bound and lives 2 doors down from us drove her wheel chair out to the end of her driveway and was holding a video camera up to record the parade. This is a woman I've actually never seen out of the house in the 7 years we've lived here. She has aides who come and stay with her (day and night shifts), and yet there she was - all alone recording the pestilence as it rolled by.

P.S. - the 2nd parade was the biggest & best - cars & kids on bikes decked out with signs and flags even participated.
P.S.S. - not to mention an entire hour of horns blasting (they drove real slow).

I had to go to the Villages last week. Since they can't display yard signs, it was relatively peaceful. But, one pickup truck turned a corner near me. You know how they have their Trump and confederate flags flying from poles attached to the bed of the pickup? This truck had, no lie, at least a dozen Trump flags. The bed was completely full. I thought the truck was going to tip over when it made the turn.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if some of these cultists commit suicide when their dear leader is no longer in charge.

With both parades I managed to be either driving into or out of my community. First parade I was stuck behind them, and when I went to pass one of the stragglers, a golf cart that was trying to catch up to the rest of them, he flipped me off, and that was before he saw my Biden/Harris car magnet. Second parade, hands down the best one, I ran into them when I turned onto my street, so I got to see all my crazy neighbors celebrating to my right while the parade passed me on the left. I was smack dab in the middle of it all. How's that for timing?
