Trump campaign would be required to pay that $7.9 million recount cost in WI (if it happens)

Says it has to be paid before a recount begins. It is a drop in the bucket for Trump camp but since has to be paid beforehand, I do not think he will do the recount. But one never knows.

Part of that readiness includes collecting recount cost estimates from all 72 counties and assembling a statewide estimate, which must be paid before any recount can begin.

Not at all. They have been reported to be having a lot of money problems. They likely are broke and do not have this cash on hand which is why they are frantically trying to scam their followers into giving them more under the pretense of legal challenges.

Its state law that if a candidate wants a recount it must be paid in advance of authorization to start it

The vote would have had to have been much closer to justify the cost of a recount.

He won't do it. Having to pay upfront is a non-starter.

If it was not up front he would do it and then not pay for it when it didn't give him the outcome he wanted.
