(22,065 posts)and get some thousands of votes tossed in Georgia when he chatted w/ the republican elections guy in Georgia so they would do better in Georgia?
I used to think far more highly of LG when John McCain was around, but now, he is a pathetic shadow of that person whom John McCain respected/friended for some reason.
I'd (and I hope Biden takes note of this too) that the powers that be look at every single election now w/ a view of the votes being screwed up, in S. Carolina (and KY, where there were some pretty major discrepancies reported on voting patterns down there too).

(16,616 posts)Woodward's first book on Trump, Fear, depicts Graham as starstruck by how close his relationship with Trump became. Graham, for a while at least, thought he had tremendous influence over Trump, and loved being the guy Trump called at midnight to vent, and to play golf with. He attaches himself to the biggest whale.
I'm open to the blackmail theory, but Graham's relationship with Trump is not the relationship most people would have with their blackmailer.
When John McCain died, so did Graham's Jiminy Cricket (his conscience).
At some point the adolescent infatuation gave way to fear, because Trump stopped listening so much to Graham and, in Graham's estimation, Trump has immense power, even after being roundly defeated in this election.

(1,749 posts)Graham is just a racist asshole. It seems a lot of Americans are saying the quiet part out loud. I've been saying it since Reagan: Repukes are racist. Never forgive and never forget what repukes want for America. Get out the vote in EVERY election.

There is no sexual joke in the post or subject line. He thinks being near strong men makes him appear strong.

(16,616 posts)idolized, and when McCain died, that left Graham open to maximize (or, really, capitalize on) his relationship with someone even more powerful than McCain. Graham seems gratified to bask in the limelight these larger-than-life figures receive. Sort of like Pence does with Trump, albeit with less fanfare and self-promotion.

(3,131 posts)As in there must be compromising information or they wouldnt be doing these awful corrupt things.
I assume they started corrupt. Its easy to get pulled into further corruption once you get started.
At some point what youve already done is compromising enough to drag you even further in.
There could be further compromising or embarrassing or illegal information. That wouldnt surprise me, but I see Lindsey and others as villains. I have a morbid curiosity of their descent into evil, but practically I dont think it matters.
I think Ive said this a few times before.

After all, a lot of journalists have looked into the Graham/Trump relationship. He probably has taken money he shouldn't have but so have 99% of GOP politicians. That isn't what makes him tick, IMO.

(288 posts)It is so frustrating for everyone to think that Trump is some kind of non-Republican. He is a Republican. Republicans are him. The election demonstrated quite clearly that the rot here is Republicanism. Graham is a Republican and so is Trump. They do bad things.
