Rudy is suspended from the DC Bar for non payment of dues. He lied to the judge

In other news, it appears
@RudyGiuliani
committed perjury in his pro hac vice petition to appear in MDPA today.

He is suspended from the DC Bar for non payment of dues.

...................................

and I think the judge knows too........The judge was very specific when he asked if Rudy was in "good standing" with the Bar.

Depends on the judge whether he/she would sanction Rudy, and if so by how much (usually a monetary sanction) but could keep him off of the case.

The Bar could reprimand or suspend him plus financial sanctions. His other Bar admissions (other states he is licensed in) could punish him for this as well.

to show cause why he should not be cited for contempt. I would also refer the matter to the New York bar, which should be expected to initiate disbarment proceedings.

Meanwhile the perjury is apparently being treated like an 'oops.' That's disappointing.

So, can Rudy just pay up and be back in good graces with the DC Bar as though nothing happened?
