There are about 30 Republican senators who are pure garbage

It’s one thing to be a conservative and a republican, but there is another thing to be just pure trash. And the only reason these guys get elected is because their base sees an R in front of their name and votes for them.

Here in Oregon, we had a guy running to be the ATTORNEY GENERAL of the State and he wasn't even a lawyer. But the Republicans chose him in the primary and lots of people voted for him.

I guess the days of expecting basic competence out of our leaders is gone. I won't even mention Tommy Tuberville!

I am old enough to remember when there were quality Republican senators.
I cannot think of a current one whom I would trust at this point some are bad; others
are horrible; and then there are your 30.

That the House was more partisan and had extremes because you didn’t have to win statewide. And the thought was that a senator would be more moderate and willing to compromise because he or she had to win statewide....but it doesn’t really play that way when a lot of these rural states (the Dakotas, Wyoming, Idaho, etc) and in the Deep South you can win without being moderate....Hell even in the purple states (Wisconsin, Florida, Pennsylvania) the GOP senators don’t moderate their views.
