Civility - its appropriate, even for someone like Lindsay. As long as hes there, it behooves her to get along with him. I always think of RBG & Scalia being friends, smart thinking.

(83,731 posts)I would have cold cocked him. However she has more grace, style and superior intelligence than that. She is the winner here.

Another point? She was not to busy to travel to Washington to make that vote.

Kamala rushed back to be the deciding vote. We won this battle. Don't make it something it is not!

Before everybody loses their minds, how about context? The Senate today REJECTED the nomination of J. Shelton to the Fed. This was a GOOD thing for the Biden/Harris administration, as she was a "gold standard" loon. Maybe she was being sarcastic & Lindsay acknowledged defeat?

(67,782 posts)....but that doesn't stop some from trying to make this into a scandal.
And as you said, she was showing some civility to her colleagues after her historic victory two weeks ago. But apparently to some that's unacceptable.
Personally, I love her understated class and civility.

(83,731 posts)It wasn't and we won. Kamala was called in to make that deciding vote. No clue where she flew in from during a pandemic.
I have to say if the SCOTUS can make decisions and vote virtually, then so should the House and Senate.

(32,640 posts)Thanks for sharing. And bonus for catching Graham trying to discretely congratulate her against the commander's approval, and her accepting it with a grin.
Good stuff - love Kamala.
