Vice President-elect Kamala Harris returns to the Senate floor to cast a vote today. (Original Post) melman Nov 2020 OP
That's not Graham. From the balding pattern I'd say it's Chris Coons. hedda_foil Nov 2020 #1

Civility - it’s appropriate, even for someone like Lindsay. As long as he’s there, it behooves her to get along with him. I always think of RBG & Scalia being friends, smart thinking.

I would have cold cocked him. However she has more grace, style and superior intelligence than that. She is the winner here.

Another point? She was not to busy to travel to Washington to make that vote.

Context is everything.

Kamala rushed back to be the deciding vote. We won this battle. Don't make it something it is not!

Before everybody loses their minds, how about context? The Senate today REJECTED the nomination of J. Shelton to the Fed. This was a GOOD thing for the Biden/Harris administration, as she was a "gold standard" loon. Maybe she was being sarcastic & Lindsay acknowledged defeat?

....but that doesn't stop some from trying to make this into a scandal.

And as you said, she was showing some civility to her colleagues after her historic victory two weeks ago. But apparently to some that's unacceptable.

Personally, I love her understated class and civility.

It wasn't and we won. Kamala was called in to make that deciding vote. No clue where she flew in from during a pandemic.

I have to say if the SCOTUS can make decisions and vote virtually, then so should the House and Senate.

Thanks for sharing. And bonus for catching Graham trying to discretely congratulate her against the commander's approval, and her accepting it with a grin.

Good stuff - love Kamala.
