The nuclear option gets wheeled into view: Trump's Nevada electors sue to have him declared the winner of a state that he lost, or else the presidential race's results should be annulled https://cdn.donaldjtrump.com/public-files/press_assets/nov-17-doc-2.pdf

(1,406 posts)They are attempting a coup!
Trying to throw out hundreds of thousands of votes in PA.
Local Republican fascists refusing to certify Wayne County, Michigan.
Suing to be awarded the electors in Nevada, even though they lost.
Pressuring Georgia officials to throw out ballots.
This is a coup!

(71,876 posts)You don't think Biden's legal team is going to get this thrown out like all of the other nuisance suits?
Trump's legal team has been comically inept at filing this suits.

(71,876 posts)They have no other way of living an unfulfilled life.
Ain't that truth?
Also, I'm really annoyed at the way people always interpret the reaction(s) of the other side based on actions deployed by our side.
Fuck them and the horse they rode in on.

(17,875 posts)Biden's lawyers will have this thrown out just like the vast majority of other lawsuits the R's have brought before the courts.
I do believe that the NV legislature can have those electors removed as faithless electors and appoint new ones that will follow the will of the people.

(33,643 posts)There's always a chance, but the odds of this succeeding are slim to none, and slim has already left the station.

(317,721 posts)Biden's lawyers are going to be able to do about the board deadlocked in Wayne County, Michigan & not certifying Biden's Win?
TY!

(53,544 posts)A county board that fails to canvass within 14 days after the election must give all of its documentation to the Secretary of State's office and Board of State Canvassers, which then has 10 days to complete the work, canvass and certify the results, according to the boards canvassing manual.
Wayne County must pay for the state canvassing work, according to board guidance.

The way I'm reading this is that they will get certified, just not as quickly as it should be.

(14,770 posts)and he'll be screaming "stolen election" every day for the next four years, IMO. People who are in a constant rage will never seek alternate answers or be rational.
He and the GOP are simply solidifying the division of America, getting their wagons in a circle and insuring everyone is well contained in their info bubble for four years of "the other" political mode.
Right-wing media will maintain their voice.....
Next, they will attack the judges that threw them out of court......

(8,345 posts)That's going to be a bit difficult to prove. To the best of my knowledge the only case of voter fraud that occurred in Nevada was a Republican voter.
