Crap, just talked to my niece and six of my family members are self-quarantining

and 6 month old twins are sick. Awaiting test results. It's probably nothing. The adults are okay, except for two who are exhibiting cold symptoms and fever, twins exhibiting high fevers and flu symptoms. Prayers, good vibes, etc... Please! Shit. Please. I had called to cancel Christmas plans and she said she was getting ready to call me. Shit. Probably colds. Kids get colds this time a year.

I just heard my nephew’s child has it. So far him and his significant other don’t. At least they don’t think so, but haven’t been able to get tested yet. It’s still hard to get tested unless you have bad enough symptoms. The are a couple of other relatives that live in that area who previously had it. All pretty young and weathered it.

She is so reassuring. Everyone will be fine. Telling her daughter on the phone now about us having our flu shots at the doc office and how we were telling jokes and made it fun. lol omg, I love her so much. There is nothing I won't do to protect her. She was born in 43, me in 63.

Thanks for being here, guys.

I know as long as my Benadryl kicks in every morning, I'm okay. No fever, I check myself twice a day. I've had my flu shot, so has my sister- we always go together and then do a little something special after. I just sometimes feels such a huge weight on my shoulders. I take care of my 77 y/o sis, plus two clients who are high risk. I am pretty sure since I do home health and designated frontline worker, I will be eligible for the vaccine in the first round. Once I get the vaccine, I will get more sleep. In the meantime, I will probably not sleep much because I spend lots of nights in a loop of second guessing myself and talking myself down. Next thing I know, it's 5am and time to get up. I am drinking a lot more coffee in the mornings than I used to.

Had fever and cold symptoms. It’s especially worrisome because she lives on the other side of the globe. But she tested negative and she’s FINE! She bounced back within a few days, though it took us all a bit longer than that to bounce back from the worry.

All the best to you and your family.
