"tRump isn't leaving the W House during Thanksgiving weekend...

since he is afraid they'll move his stuff out", Brian Williams said on his show, with a straight face too.

He slips the snark into whatever he's saying so seamlessly that it takes me a second to catch it. Brian Williams is a real pro.

I love whenever there is a story of Senator Kennedy of Louisiana, he always refers to him as, "Senator John No Relation Kennedy".

It was up to 130 agents last week. Maybe it is still spreading among them?

but I'm still absolutely sure that when he does go to Mar-a-Lago, he's not coming back to Washington. He knows that too. If he goes there for Christmas, that'll be the last time he's in the White House. He's not going to be there for the Inauguration.

Trump has no friends, no longer seems to have a relationship with wife #3 and never seems to have had one with their son. Ivanka and Jared are busy moving back to NYC and putting Daddy dearest in the rearview mirrow. Jr has his own brood of kids and Eric seems to be an afterthought.

He could go to FL, but he's yesterday's news and can no longer plug anyone into his WH grift machine. Who would show up? Might as well stay hunkered down in the WH. It's Trump's version of Nixon in his final days.

Either he is planning on firing a large number of people (because T-giving is a perfect time for that) or some sort of military action. There is something up his sleeve.

It would be nice if he traveled somewhere to thank military stationed abroad for their service. But that's not how he rolls.

I think "surprise" overseas servicemen-visits have been done before. A quick google shows Dubya did a surprise Thanksgiving visit to Iraq in 2003. At this point, what would be known to us is the same whether he was staying home or making such a visit.

Well, except for the "we know he's a self-obsessed narcissist who would never consider doing anything nice for anyone else and wants to stay home to continue his plotting to overturn the will of the people and maintain his hold on power" part.

Edit to add: I think I was trapped in pre-COVID thinking. During a pandemic, the most destructive thing he could do would be to make a surprise super-spreader visit. So that definitely increases the odds of his doing so. If he still had the peculiar traditional Repuke adoration from the troops, he'd probably do it for the captive audience, but methinks some of the returns from the overseas military balloting didn't come back quite as favorable as the Grotesque Old Pustule's party is used to.

and everything is moved out and the new President's stuff is moved in by the time the festivities are over. That's how it's done.
