(54,811 posts)1. I vote at home and drop it off at the drop box of on Election Day.
The top of the ballot is torn off for you to keep (I laminate mine for bookmarks). I also make copies of the ballot before I seal it in the envelope. Is this considered a receipt in tje eyes of the ballot counters? What other type of receipts are an option?

Ballot receipts would be a big problem. How do you prevent people from being coerced or bribed to vote a certain way? There is a reason why secret' ballots are a thing.
