4. I think they should change Senate rules to force a vote on certain issues.

It's obvious that one asshole can shut down the entire Congressional body.

2020 was our big chance to flip the Senate - and as you know, we came close but no cigar.

Yes, there are the two Georgia races - but given what happened in '08 (amid an epic collapse under a widely-hated GOP president, no less), they're a longshot at best.

7. But only briefly - from 9/09 to 1/10

While Massachusetts' Paul Kirk was in office, basically.

Got a lot done in those brief 4 months (ACA, Dodd/Frank) - but not enough, naturally.

I think many of us realized that Democrats like Lieberman were not really Democrats. And Democrats that are afraid to upset the applecart, once they are in leadership positions, don't really understand that time is fleeting to make the necessary changes.

From what I have seen, there is so much disinformation spread by the other side that sometimes you have to ram something in so people can actually see the benefit it provides them. Only then will there be public support.

And laughing fodder for Lindsey and his cohorts over some tax payer funded lunch.
