The House Oversight Committee should subpoena Emily Murphy to come testify immediately.

And if she ignores the subpoena, hold her in contempt of Congress and arrest her.

She needs to publicly explain her refusal to formally recognize President-Elect Joe Biden and release the funds needed to carry out the transition to the new administration.

I don't think her excuses would hold up very well against Katie Porter and her whiteboard.

She's in this dirty deed 100%. Hell, it's probably 99% her idea! And I bet it all comes back to tRump's pardon guarantees as he's walked out the door.

Then what?

So, they are not going to do that. The problem is that there is no set schedule for the transition, and Trump can delay until every state has certified its elections and maybe even until the Electoral College submits its vote.

No law covers this period of time after the election, with regard to transition.

The whole thing is set up for honorable people in office. We have a dishonorable person as President, and he is stonewalling this transition thing. I don't think there is much that can be done about it, short of impeachment and removal from office, and that would still not get through the Senate with a 67 vote majority.

So, we're sort of stuck at this point. I don't see a way out, as long as Trump refuses to cooperate.

MAYBE that asshole concedes after the EC vote. Maybe after Congress certifies it. Maybe.
