ordered the Pentagon’s top civilian overseeing the military’s special operations community to report directly to him, effectively elevating U.S. Special Operations Command to the same level of the Pentagon’s military departments.

The change makes the assistant secretary of defense for special operations and low intensity conflict a service secretary-like position responsible for the oversight and advocacy of the military’s special operations forces, said Miller...

Ezra Cohen-Watnick, a former aide to Trump’s first national security adviser Michael Flynn, is now filling the assistant secretary of defense for special operations and low intensity conflict role on an acting basis. Miller briefly served in that position on a temporary basis earlier this year, as well. ...

The acting defense secretary said Wednesday that drawing down operations in those nations will allow special operations forces to refocus on their roles in a potential fight with a major power such as China or Russia.

“Right now we start the transition to provide greater civilian oversight of, and critically, advocacy for our special operators,” Miller said. “This couldn't come at a more critical moment in time, as we bring our nation's longest conflicts to a responsible end and prepare special operations forces for this new era of great-power competition.” ...

Don't know what all to make of this, but civilian ops bypassing military chain of command control sounds bad. Reminds me of a long Rolling Stone article about Erik Prince, who told Fox he's bringing back Blackwater. RS left the veracity of that claim open.

Perhaps the Pentagon top brass will countermand such orders and declare them illegal orders.

Or not.

and we have a dictatorship.

But that's what he is lining up the pieces on the board to do.

But I believe he expects to get the election to the SCOTUS, who will overturn the EC because they owe him, and when massive civil unrest breaks out in the Cities, he plans to use the Military to suppress it and cement his coup.

I don't think the DoD will stand for it. If anything, they'll be forced to seize power to install Biden.

On edit: I can't believe I'm speculating on these failed-state scenarios.

I think he’s keeping his options open. He may or may not choose to exercise this one. Naturally, this is the one I most fear and hope that Trump opts against.

I've been following QAnon for a long time, so long that it's nearly impossible to summarize the rapidly changing events of the last few months. I also follow the really smart people working to "out" the different puppet masters behind Q, including one of the co-founders of Anonymous.

Mike Flynn is one who has been joined at the hip since the inception of Q.

Ezra Cohen-Watnick is in tight with Flynn (and other sketchy AF criminals), and the team following Q feels ECW has taken the place of Jim and Ron Watkins, creating a next-generation version of Q. It was very alarming to them when he was appointed to the DoD position recently; they had their eye on him for a while.
