resident Donald Trump's campaign is mounting a fresh legal bid to prevent the certification of votes in Nevada. A new lawsuit names the state's Democratic presidential electors as defendants.
One of those named is Gabrielle d'Ayr, a former chair of the Clark County Democratic Party who says she is currently homeless. - Newsweek

Damn, these articles... I wish they'd divulge the name of the law firm and lead attorney(s). Some of want to keep track of these legal firms.

Reminds me of some attendees for one candidate at NV Democratic Party caucuses in 2016. Routine checking for everyone revealed some were not only not registered as Democrats but some didn't even live in Nevada. One guess, yup, right: Dirty NV Dems were the ones trying to illicitly steal the elections that time also by foiling The People. And after they'd come so far!

During the two months that I lived in shelters after I ran out of income and was evicted, I had no problem with either getting my benefits or forwarding my mail.

Defendants have the choice of going broke hiring lawyers, or simply giving in.

(101,152 posts)The vote counting is done by the state. The electors have not yet met.
Nevada is one of 33 states with a law requiring electors to vote for the winner of the popular vote in the state. According to FairVote.org, if an elector opts to vote for another candidate, there is no penalty, but their vote is canceled and they are replaced by another elector.
(Sinclair NBC link - but I think it's accurate in this case) https://mynews4.com/news/local/who-are-nevadas-electors-in-the-electoral-college-and-when-do-they-meet
Are electors now expected to get legal representation, and take the time and worry of answering a lawsuit when they've done nothing yet, and are required to follow the results the state gives them?

(8,088 posts)that's been raised on Limpball, FUX, and toxic social media. Look at the MAGATs who stormed DC this past weekend -- looked mostly in their 20s and 30s. Look at that little shit who just won a House seat in Western North Carolina... not sure if he's even 25. His first tweet after winning was something like "Cry, liberals."
