Trump claims Michigan election board was 'viciously harassed' to certify Biden vote in Detroit

Trump, after boasting that two Republican officials blocked certification of the votes in Wayne County, Mich. Tuesday, and praising their “courage,” on Wednesday morning claimed they were “FORCED” to reverse themselves by being “threatened, screamed at and viciously harassed.”

But the upshot was that the four-member board of canvassers backtracked and unanimously certified results showing President-elect Joe Biden's victory in the county, the largest in Michigan, which includes the city of Detroit. The certification makes it virtually certain that Biden has carried the state and its 16 electoral votes.

The board of canvassers in Wayne County met Tuesday to certify the results of the Nov. 3 election in what is usually a routine procedure. But two Republicans on the four-member panel — Monica Palmer and William Hartmann — voted against certifying them, leading to a brief deadlock with an uncertain outcome. There was an outraged response on social media, including a warning by a well-known Detroit entrepreneur that the two would “forever be known in southeastern Michigan as two racists.” Ten-year-old posts featuring caricatures of President Obama and attributed to Hartmann’s Facebook page were posted by a user on Twitter.

The two Republicans based their initial refusal to certify the results on discrepancies in certain Detroit precincts between the numbers of voters and the numbers of ballots tabulated. In theory those should be the same, but results that are “out of balance” by small amounts are not unusual and do not generally signify tampering or fraud, or change the final results appreciably when they are corrected.

(That's the person who checks you in to vote--and I have served in Ohio since 2008 as a poll worker, both paper and roster judge roles)

Small errors are easily made. With the paper sign in books, we had to count each signature several times a day and match the tally with the number of Authority to Vote slips that were collected AND the number of votes tallied on the machines. Sounds easy, but I've seen some people get totally muddled and have trouble counting (slips and signatures). When it's a really busy day, errors happen, but never in major numbers. I assume there is a similar set of procedures in Michigan with similar opportunity for human error to creep in.
Straws are being grasped at.

Dishes crap all the time, then whines at the slightest response.

I can't imagine having to support this guy. He makes his voters look weaker every day.

The people shut down their blatantly racist attempt to disenfranchise hundreds of thousands of voters.

That’s a good thing.
