I just realized that it might not just be petty spite.
How long is it before Biden's team finds out there is absolutely no plan to deal with Covid, including prep work to aid vaccine distribution? Days at best.
How long will it take Biden's team to find out there are plans and activities that are illegal?
Petty spite is probably still the main reason, but things will begin to come out as Biden's team gets up to speed.

(13,776 posts)I can't believe it didn't occur to me, but of course you're right. There's no plan. (No plan that serves the public, that is. Plenty of plans that line pockets.) It's so obvious now that you've pointed it out.

(7,715 posts)They are using this time to destroy evidence and cover up.
The thing is, though, that Richard Nixon and his henchmen did the same thing regarding Watergate after Nixon's massive victory over George McGovern in November 1972. They weren't able to contain it.
And Nixon's henchmen were infinitely smarter than those of Trump's. One thing about Republicans: when they commit crimes, they are massive, but they are too stupid to cover it up, probably because the crime is so massive and involves so many people.

(5,524 posts)I think planning for the vaccine distribution may be the one thing that they got right. They put army logistics people in charge and got out of the way. I think that was a good move because no body knows how to get big shit done like the army logistics people.
60 Minutes actually just did a story about this a week ago. Worth a look and might make you feel better about that one particular item. You are probably right about every other thing they put their hands on though.

(3,131 posts)You are right about the army having the logistic knowledge and capability to handle the distribution. I hope they control ordering the vaccine so it's competent, fair and efficient with no middle men.
