Why Trump persists: he really thinks the horse will talk

An old legend goes...........

A sultan has condemned a man to death by beheading, the sentence to be carried out immediately.

The man cries out before being led off, "Wait, your highness! If you grant me one year of reprieve, I will teach your horse to talk!"

Incredulous, the sultan asks the man, "let me be clear, you are telling me you can make my horse talk within one year?"

The man asserts: "yes, your highness. It is very tedious work, and involves high concentration and expense, which is why few have ever taken advantage of my abilities, but give me a year and the liberty to spend time with your horse, and I will have him talking by the end of a year's time."

"So be it," says the sultan. "You have one year in which you will teach my horse to talk."

As the condemned man is led off to arrange living quarters next to the royal stables, a friend asks him, "why did you do that? You know perfectly well you won't teach a horse to talk."

The man answers, "I was about to be led off to be beheaded. Now, that won't happen for a full year. Who knows what can happen in a year? I might get sick and die. Or the Sultan might get sick and die. Or...the horse might talk."

--------------------------------------
Trump already knows what the inevitable outcome is. He figures he might as well try for the impossible, since the outcome is already set if the impossible never occurs. So he's hoping the horse will talk.

I was convinced he really believed the Quackpot stories about the Biden's in that last debate. What was it he was scolding Joe for? Three million bucks from the mayor of Moscow? It sure looked to me like he was convinced that was true.

Gawd, I am so tired of seeing the shenanigans from our so-called president.

I am tired of feeling helpless and frustrated.

But in contrast to the condemned man in the fable, Trump really DOES believe Giuliani can get the horse to talk. Hell, for $20,000 a day, I'LL tell you I'll get your horse to talk, too, and for that kind of money, I wouldn't even require a horse!
