This morning, I asked @SenMikeShirkey if he would honor the will of Michigan voters in his meeting with Trump today. He responded by singing a hymn about being persecuted:

15. Here's the thing,

this has been pointed out numerous times in the last 24 hours that he can't do that because MI law is very clear on this, the winner of the popular vote is the winner of the electoral votes, no if's. and's or but's about it, and Shirkey has said that they will follow MI law and they will not get involved.

16. The plan is...

To get the state canvassing board to deadlock and then for the legislature to pick Trump electors before the courts issue a Writ of Mandamus and order the board to certify the election. IF that were to happen, Biden would sue and win. But this dude would still be an object of hatred, and rightfully so.

17. That's not an option,

if the state canvassing board refuses to certify the vote, then the courts will either force them to or they will certify the vote according to MI law, another option is that Gov. Whitmer has the power to remove any board member that violates MI law and appoint a replacement who will follow MI law.

The MI legislature has no authority to intervene in the electoral process, they can change the law, but it wouldn't be retroactive so it wouldn't apply to this election.

14. If he truly believes that the election was rigged despite

all the claims to the contrary, he should show his evidence, or else do the job that he was hired for... to represent the will of the voters. Singing hymns and taking a trip to the White House are just his feel good pacifiers and a total waste of time while people die.
