The reaction to what Trump is doing seems VERY inadequate to me

Hoyer is the only one on our side of the fence treating this with the seriousness it deserves. It is now clear that a slow-motion coup is in progress. Why have impeachment hearings not been announced? Why isn't Biden screaming bloody murder about this?

This is causing severe damage to democracy in the American republic and millions of his supporters have bought it, some are willing to fight to the death according to media reports. Scary stuff, that needs to be shot down.

It’s becoming disturbing to me.

I can see Biden staying out of it, but our leadership should be speaking up.

Every time someone said "he can't", he did. Every time someone said "he won't get away with it", he did. "Unprecedented" is no longer a reliable indication that something won't become a precedent. I'm nervous. But when I say that here I'm called a fear monger. I worry that only one side is on the offensive here, while we rely on the courts and the good judgement of republican governors and legislators to not give in to stop Trump.

I want someone, or rather a lot of someones, yelling from the tops of buildings that they are trying to steal our democracy and that the republicans are doing horrific damage to our systems of government. This should not be a time for civility and I wish I knew how to make more noise or at least make more of a nuisance of myself. I fell basically impotent and I feel like Biden and his team are way too soft spoken. I wish they'd turn Kamala loose on it.

they would be shouting everywhere....hell, they are the ones doing it and they are shouting and our side is saying nothing.

I'm happy that Hoyer said something, but more need to speak out and speak about what is happening. I get the feeling that everyone has been told to keep quiet, but why? Why give the other side free rein to set the narrative?

except in right-wing circles. I believe we should save our outrage for the minuscule chance that he succeeds at anything. After a while, screaming just becomes screaming. If he gets an INCH toward getting what he wants, that is the time to pounce.
