trump has to ask for it by this Tuesday.

Now that the results are certified, Trumps campaign will have two business days to request a recount since the margin is within 0.5%. That recount would be done using scanning machines that read and tally the votes and would be paid for by the counties, the secretary of states office has said.

A recount would be by machine and be fast, but does not effect certification in any way.

If the election hadn't been certified, Trump could have stretched out the recount until the "safe harbor" date and, once that was reached, have the state legislature intervene to choose electors, because the election had never been certified. Now, if such a second recount isn't finished in time, the result becomes official, because it's been certified. Big difference.

Now, we have to see if/when AZ certifies. Once that's done, Trump's only chance is to blockade both PA and MI -- one alone won't be enough.
