'I'm going to jail for the rest of my life': What Kyle Rittenhouse told the friend who supplied rifl

Soon after he shot three people, a panicked 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse told a friend he expected to go to jail for life, but that if he had not fired, he would "probably be dead."

The account comes from a newly released video of a Kenosha detective questioning Dominick Black, the 19-year-old charged with buying Rittenhouse the rifle he used to kill two people and injure a third.

“The dude’s sweating like a pig. He’s just freaking out. His face is white,” Black said of Rittenhouse.

“He’s like, ‘I’m going to jail for the rest of my life. I’m done.’ He’s just scared. I'm just trying to calm him down."

Watching this video is telling. All the details match up fairly accurate. We have an accurate portrayal of what went down. But we also know he was a illegally possessing a firearm. And that he shot two people (killing one) attempting to apprehend him for shooting someone, after fleeing the scene of the crime. His friend also said that he was interfering, with a gun in hand, with people committing crimes, which is in itself vigilantism.

What bothers me is the body language of the cop when the friend says he thought he was going to die if he didn't shoot. This crap is really, really, hammered home in gun nutters. They always always hinge on the "fear for my life" bullshit. And that is 100% certainly going to be the argument in the case.

Honestly I can't tell whether or not this kid will be able to get off. Being out of jail gives him so, so, much opportunity, he can be coached on what to say, get proper grooming, hair care, skin care, suits, all of that stuff. Things not afforded to people who don't get such a large bail paid off. This whole case is going to hinge on the narrative that he was just offering assistance (medical aid) to the people there and was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

A $2 Million cash bond.
It's suspected COVID had something to do with the decision to grant bail.
His parents don't have $2 million.
Hmmmm!

GFM shut that down.
They don't allow fund raising if it relates to a criminal case.
That money came from some other RWNJ source.

He could have binged on Netflix or played a video game, or done his homework, instead of going out to hunt humans.

You might remember a Florida crime in which three young men (teens at the time) beat a homeless vet named Norris Gaynor to death with a baseball bat. That was in 2006.

In 2012, the SCOTUS ruled that teens cannot be sentenced to life without parole. At least white teens from the suburbs can't be. In 2016, two of the three teens involved were re-sentenced. One had already been released in exchange for testimony. Today, they are all free. Norris Gaynor is still very much dead.

Rittenhouse will do no more than 10.
