To start a meme that lots of people will believe ...

... here's what you need to do. Start talking about it, repeating it over and over and over, incessantly, relentlessly, for months and months, with no supporting evidence, and after a while lots of people will start to believe it just from the repetition. Never mind that it's not true, never mind that there's no evidence to support it, the repetition alone will drum it into the consciousness of lots of people until the point where they actually believe it.

And so, now we have tens of millions of Americans who believe that Joe Biden and the Democrats stole the election, that there were mobs and hordes of non-citizens voting illegally and that they all voted for Biden, that a Venezuelan company started by a dead demagogue shifted millions of votes electronically to Biden, and the president-elect and vice-president-elect and the election that elected them are illegitimate. They believe this fervently and passionately, with absolutely no supporting evidence, and they believe it only because the current president and other Republicans have just simply been relentlessly making that claim for months and months.

I have read the George Orwell novel "1984" three times in my life. It is an awesome novel. If I can find my copy of it I think I'd like to read it again ...
