(so to speak).
Joe has already asked people on Twitter to help fund it. Twitter refused.
But that tells me something: there is a way to fund this without the GSA. How would that work, i.e., what would the money go for, and how would it be spent?
Contructive responses only, please.

(8,325 posts)Its the access much more than the money that is vital to the success of a transition.
No access to the agency and its info and on day 1 you are basically walking in blind.

It's so easy to spend other people's money but how about some of our billionaire Democratic donors? I hate to ask them for anything after the hundreds of millions they've spent.
How much money does Biden need for the transition? I just have no idea. Are we talking about 10 million? 100 million? 500 million?
I'm pretty clueless about this.
One suggestion I made in another thread is that the Biden campaign borrow for now and repay what can be repaid from the GSA funds when they are finally released. Maybe Mike Bloomberg could work out a zero-interest loan.

(10,826 posts)Call up the billionaire class. Like a Mike Bloomberg though the man spent a fair amount of money during the election. I read the GSA signature was worth 10 million in funds. Don't know if there's any ruling against something like this--a gift or loan--but we're in unconventional times. The longer this goes on, the more serious the situation becomes.
Murphy equivocates while Americans die. There must be some way around this. I know the Biden team is asking for donations from supporters but between the GE and now the Georgia Special, a lot of regular people are tapped out.
It's a monstrous situation.
That being said, I'll be surprised if Murphy shows up for the Congressional hearing on Monday. The Republicans have set a new standard in thumbing their nose at any inquiry.
Never forget, never forgive!

@JoeBiden
Here's the deal: Because President Trump refuses to concede and is delaying the transition, we have to fund it ourselves and need your help.
If you're able, chip in to help fund the Biden-Harris transition.
