After meeting w/ Pres. Trump, Michigan Republicans—including Speaker @LeeChatfield—closed down the Trump Hotel bar last night, drinking $500/bottle Dom Perignon and flaunting CDC pandemic guidelines. Who paid for their hotel rooms, travel & bar tab?

I guess MI House Speaker @LeeChatfield + @RepJimLillyMI were in a celebratory mood last night, drinking Dom Perignon at the Trump Hotel til midnight 🥂

Just a bottle of champagne helps the coronavirus spread,

all these mask-free trump related events yet they still attend them shoulder-to-shoulder and maskless. In three weeks or so we'll hear reports of some of them coming down with the virus.

What is it? Why do they risk their and others lives who they may infect by continuing to not follow CDC guidelines? trump is not that goddamn charming as to make someone lose their effin' mind.

Everything's wired.

We know this.

IDIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!

This may be the very reason he called them to Washington. Get them drunk in the hotel, send in sex workers, and roll the cameras, microphones.

While governor Whitmer is here doing everything she can to try to mitigate the the virus, making tough choices, on the front lines every day with the people and the scientists.... and getting nothing but impeachment and death threats from the drumpf death cult, these fuckwads are trying to help a coup and boozing it up on $500 Champaign while Michiganders are dying.

Who picked up the tab? What - exactly - are they celebrating? Did they finish the evening singing hymns? Looks a lot like pay to play.

They'd be going to jail for accepting a bribe if they did.

On the other hand, if Michigan taxpayers paid for it, that's not a good look either.

of any kind. Those are NOT the kind of glasses you would drink Dom or any other bubbly from. It looks like they're having different kinds of wine (one is a red) in regular wine glasses. And one guy I just noticed has a highball.

It's really not unusual for people on a business trip to meet after dinner in the bar and have a drink or two. Unless there's evidence from the server or a copy of the bill showing it's $500/bottle wine I'll say this doesn't pass the smell test. Also, from what I've heard, everything in a Trump hotel is ridiculously expensive anyway and the quality not that great.

That they even went is more of an outrage.

Nobody here knows what they're drinking, but what you said makes perfect sense.

And I don't buy for one minute that they're going to reverse the MI election, they have zero authority to do so, and they've stated several times, very publicly, that they've seen nothing that would warrant any action on their part and they are going to follow MI law and award the votes to the winner of the popular vote, IE: PE Joe Biden/VPE Kamala Harris.
