(6,448 posts)My wife is a huge Peanuts fan, so we traveled to St. Paul to see a small park where Charlie Brown and his friends were bronze statues on some of the benches. We were across the street from what I believe was the MN Capitol. I didn't bother to look at the top of the building for the copper dome.
On this particular day, several stretch limos arrived with couples wearing tuxedoes and ball gowns. Meanwhile, the park had a few dozen homeleass people watching these affluent douches.
It was a nice sociology lesson for my young daugthters that they'll never see in any textbook. That day, the wealth gap was about 75 feet, but also at least hundreds of thousands of dollars.
