25. The use of Republicanese has become very pervasive

One of the main traits of Republicanese, namely using an apostrophe to form a plural, is to be found on almost ANY board in the USA these days, no longer just on Republican boards. Nowhere in any school in the English-speaking world are children EVER taught to use an apostrophe to form a plural, and yet you see it almost everywhere. It is one of the main differences between English and Republicanese.

e.g. English: There are so many stars in the sky tonight, they are like snow flurries.
Republicanese: There are so many star's in the sky tonight, they are like snow flurry's.

As you might expect, Republicanese also eliminates the use of an apostrophe where English mandates it, thus the difference between parents' and parents.

And you have to admit, punctuation or not, it was a GREAT notice for the store to post!

37. Argh! Bushisms ...

"I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand
cut off by Saddam Hussein."

-- G. W. Bush
Washington, D.C., May 25, 2004

"But I also made it clear to [Vladimir Putin] that it's important to
think beyond the old days of when we had the concept that if we blew
each other up, the world would be safe."

-- G. W. Bush
Washington, D.C., May 1, 2001

but we knew it was a long shot in Paladino county. They donít even know what they lost.

38. dead skunk

I live in western NY State, not in Nate's district so I couldn't help him with a vote, although I did send $$.

In these towns (Republicanese: town's) the Repubs could put a dead skunk on the ballot and it would still beat a living Democrat.

26. I think the first paragraph alone would have been the better way to go.

It says everything that is needed to keep anti-maskers from entering the store. I think the second paragraph is just asking for trouble with the anti-mask morons.

32. If the first part of the sign didn't make an impression on you, the second DEFINITELY should.

If it doesn't, and you think you should enter anyway, you are a f'ing moron.

34. The idea for the sign actually originated at a vintage store in Phoenix, AZ

The owner of the shop said grandmothers from all over the world have called and left voice mails thanking the store for standing up for them.

Contrast that with Iowa where we have stores banning customers who do mask.

(iowa has a 50 percent positivity rate oh by the way)

40. My local hardware store 90 miles north of NYC

The owners and staff do not wear masks I will not go anymore and it sucks they have the best plywood in the area. They were tea party during Obama but the mask thing I can not deal with, the owner and his wife are both in their late 60's.
