I don't like the guy either. But in a do nothing cabinet job, he could do less harm than in the Senate. I should have been clear on this. He is leaving the Senate and won't run again you know.

which will be done in 2022 along with Toomey's term and there is no guarantee that we can elect a consecutive Democratic governor.

I doubt that Teabagger Toomey would leave his seat now when he can participate in doing as much damage to Democrats on his way out, while "talking a good game".

His only "overlap" with Democratic policies is "gun control" and that's pretty much it. Otherwise he is -

For overturning Roe v. Wade

For repealing the Affordable Care Act

Against the HEROES Act

By remaining in his position for the next 2 years, he'll take over the role of phonies like Lamar Alexander and Jeff Flake as those to be "catered to" because they would supposedly have nothing to lose as they aren't running again. His sights are set on private industry and not government.

35. This is Wolf's 2nd (and final) term

(he was originally elected in 2014 and just got reelected in 2018).

I am glad Wolf will at least be there for the beginning of the re-districting process because back in 2010, the GOP controlled ALL the branches (Executive, Legislative, Judiciary).

NOW Democrats have the Executive and Judiciary and that will hopefully go a long way to keep our STATE seats from being complete screwed up by the GOP legislature like they are now. Wolf + our majority-D State Supreme Court were able to UN-gerrymander the Congressional seats and that gave Democrats 5 more seats in 2018.

There is speculation that Lt. Gov. Fetterman might run for either office and that goes for our current AG Josh Shapiro (who just got re-elected in this election), who might run for either seat too!
