Move wont damage relations because theyre already ruined.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said hes ready to work with any U.S. leader, but still isnt ready to recognize the election victory of Joe Biden.
We will work with anyone who has the confidence of the American people, Putin said on Russian state TV Sunday. But that confidence can only be given to a candidate whose victory has been recognized by the opposing party, or after the results are confirmed in a legitimate, legal way.
The comments are some of the most detailed since the election from Putin, one of a dwindling number of leaders who havent recognized Biden as the next U.S. head of state. Russia, accused by U.S. intelligence agencies of intervening in 2016 to help get Trump elected, has been wary of Biden, fearing an increase in sanctions pressure and clashes over human rights.

As if his opinion will sway the outcome here?

(34,856 posts)Your boy, Donald, will be powerless, regardless of whether or not you recognize our new President. So, fuck off.
I look forward to whatever retaliation the Biden Administration has planned for Putin's interference in our elections, because it IS coming. If Malcolm Nance is correct, and he always is, it's going to be a doozy.

Russia is a case study in how hard it is to maintain a democracy.
Trump has shown us the same thing about the USA.
If regular citizens don't step forward as leaders....If money is more important than the needs and desires of all citizens...
We will be an oligarchy too.
It is what Putin wanted.
