John Bolton and others don't understand Trump will still run the kGOP AFTER Jan 20 th

Last edited Sun Nov 22, 2020, 11:45 AM - Edit history (1)

John Bolton just now on CNN: "...after Jan 20th the kGOP doesn't have to pay attention to Trump.." (mine)

EDIT: 95% kGOP pols who distance themselves from Trump will NEVER EVER win a kGOP primary ... never.

The kGOP is a text book cult with a Trump personality at its head, what does it take to get that through peoples heads ?!!?

Can anyone imagine the DNC distancing itself from Obama for being the reasonably reasoned thinking Obama?

NO!!

The kGOP CAN NOT distance itself from Trump for being the complete asshole Trump either !!

A friend of mine went to a completely non political event where there were multiple Trump flags there, they worship him.

Bottom line

1. The kGOP base worships Trump and will continue to do so when he's out of office.
2. Trump is going to be the person who decides kGOP primaries until he goes to jail or passes away.

American's don't have to put up with that jerk but the kGOP will be attached to him until he disappears, they made a deal with the devil and are going to pay for it dearly.

He's got an handful of cultists, but the majority that are just mildly crazy with run of the mill religious insanity, they can't stand him.

He's done.

They don't give a damn about the GOP they want Trump. What GOP politicians want doesn't really matter when the voters are demanding more Trump or at least more Trumpism.

Trump will either be the nominee in 2024 or he will be a kingmaker deciding which GOP politicians are "pure" (loyal to Trump) or "impure".

You know why the two Georgia Republican Senate Candidates attacked the Republican governor and secretary of state? Trump threatened them. They do it or he will ruin their runoff chances.

There is no Republican party anymore there is the Party of Trump so while many GOP leaders may despite Trump they need Trump voters.

And without his fat mouth out there constantly promoting it with the bully pulpit, the movement will at least begin go limp, like Trump.

His is a cult of personality, and he has lost a monstrously powerful megaphone. He will no longer have the massive power he's had to promote his hate. I'm not sure that Fox will be amenable to one hour morning phone calls that smack of sedition once he's out of office. They CAN lose their license, especially with him having no power to stop it.

The militias will still be here, as always. The Klan will be here. The mega churches and religiously insane will be here, the ammosexuals will be here, but this Trump cult will fizzle.

At least that's my hope, based on past cults of personality.

... vote for anyone who Trump doesn't bless.

Trump doesn't need the White House to spread the stupid, just don't break twitter or radio rules.

Trump didn't need any of that BEFORE he became the kGOP leading candidate, he had an audience before he even ran in 2015.

Cults do NOT fizzle unless the idea of the head does, the idea of Trump was never connected to the presidency.

Obama, a non cult leader, is loved in the DNC and stays out of the primary fights ... Trump will do the opposite for the kGOP.

People, we're not recognizing how much MAGA Minions worship Trump ... people think "worship" is hyperbole

first, those in office. Then those running for office.

See, if he excoriates any current Scum in office, he'll tell his pack of evil followers to kicks him or her out at the next election cycle OR try to get them recalled. And it makes zero difference to those Trumphumpers if the only reason he says negative things is that they are not sufficiently supportive of one addle-brained ex indicted president.

For those running for office, he'd kill their vote chances by once again throwing shade at those not loyal to Der OrangeFuhrer.

Bank on all this to be true!

When he’s out of the office his power will diminish

He’ll bluster and carry on but his pull will winnow away, just like any cult leader that’s put out to pasture. History is riddled with them

Also Trumpism will last a lot longer than Trump. Even if Trump dies of a KFC induced heart attack the person who seizes power in the GOP will be the one who can out Trump all the other candidates trying to out Trump each other.

The GOP created this monster over 30 years and it isn't going away overnight.

collapse quickly. And when Trumpism does collapse, 75% of his former supporters will deny ever supporting him. That’s how most cults work. Of course there are some, like Scientology, which do last into the long term. We’ll see how this plays out.
