Newsmax Lures Audiences by Refusing to Declare Electoral Winner

Newsmax, Once a Right-Wing Also-Ran, Is Rising, and Trump Approves

Hundreds of thousands of new viewers have tuned into Newsmax programs that embrace the president’s debunked claims of voter fraud and insist that Mr. Trump can keep the White House. Until recently, the network’s top shows attracted a paltry 58,000 viewers. On Thursday night, the network drew its biggest audience ever, notching 1.1 million viewers at 7 p.m.

The out-of-nowhere rise has come as Fox News — the No. 1 network in TV news and long the destination of choice for many Trump partisans — has experienced a rare dip in dominance. Ratings for the Rupert Murdoch-owned network have dropped since election night, when its early projection that Mr. Biden had won Arizona infuriated Mr. Trump and his allies.

The loss of viewers has set off alarm bells inside Fox News, said several people with ties to the network who spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid straining relationships. A new slogan promoting its pro-Trump opinion hosts — “Standing Up For What’s Right” — is now in heavy rotation.

Even if Newsmax is more willing to indulge the outlandish prospect that Mr. Trump can serve a second term, Mr. Ruddy said that Newsmax would not become, in his words, “Trumpmax.”

WarnerMedia plans to sell CNN Center

CNN's parent company has made a big decision: CNN Center, the network's landmark building in Atlanta, is going up for sale.
The announcement is a big adjustment internally — but nothing will change right away.

Pascal Desroches, the chief financial officer for WarnerMedia, which is comprised of CNN and other brands such as HBO and Warner Bros, said the company is prioritizing Techwood, another property it owns in Atlanta.

"Following the sale of the CNN Center, we plan to centralize most of our employees on the Techwood campus," Desroches wrote in an internal memo. "This process will take several years, so we don't expect any immediate changes for employees working at the CNN Center."

It will be a homecoming of sorts, since CNN was founded in 1980 at a former country club on Techwood Drive.

WarnerMedia said Monday it will sell the iconic CNN Center in downtown Atlanta, but that it doesn’t mean the network will abandon the city.

The network will consolidate its Atlanta workforce in a series of offices across town, the same office campus where CNN was first located upon its founding by Ted Turner in the early 1980s.

“Downtown Atlanta has seen great investment and is quickly becoming an entertainment destination,” Pascal Desroches, chief financial officer at WarnerMedia, said in a memo to staff. “The CNN Center is of great value to a third party that specializes in such developments.”

It might restore the old pre-Fox Republican Party. Switching to OAN and Newsmax is self-marginalizing. Fox News may actually do something it has been unable to do heretofore. Add a fact checker.

Hey kids, are you getting tired of the red Kool-aid that Faux News tells you? Come on over to OAN and enjoy an even more thought free flavor of "Ultra-Red Kool-aid". You will love the thoughtless mindless fake news bits we dribble into your mind.
