I went out of house for a few minutes to get some air and when I came back my husband says he just saw on TV (either MSNBC or CNN) two people who said that Trump's plan was to get this election to SCOTUS and have them over turn the election. I knew that, but he said the talking heads people said there was a fair chance it would work! Can someone who was tuned into those networks between 2 and 3 ET tell me what actually happened? I know one of GOP state board in Michigan is trying to stall and not certify. Is this a real thing or should I cut off my hubby's TV privileges'?
I was so looking forward to certs in PA and MI tomorrow. Sigh.

(153,150 posts)his problem is, he has no proof - none at all - so he cannot even get the lower courts to give him the time of day....this isn't 2000, when the difference was literally a few hundred votes - Trump fucking LOST, and he is a LOSER

(13,964 posts)theres less than a 5% chance the Supreme Court would rule in favor of Trump. Probably less than that in reality. Theres a good chance they wont even hear the case.

(5,755 posts)Large amounts of votes to be thrown out during the Wisconsin recount - of course that was refused but has become the basis of another lawsuit. Guiliani told Fox News last week that he didnt mind the losses because he wanted it to go to the Supreme Court.

(112 posts)There is a very good diary about this on Daily Kos. If the author is correct, Giuliani et al haven't a shot in hell with SCOTUS.

(82,383 posts)They don't just vote. They have to have an issue to grapple with. Even the right wingers on it would feel too stupid finding an issue where there is no evidence.

Dont think it has a chance in hell.
