As in a sore loser who won't concede.
Loren Culp, refusing to concede Washington gubernatorial race, turns on top Republicans
SEATTLE Loren Culp lost Washingtons gubernatorial race by more than 545,000 votes, but hes not conceding and says hes not going away.Culp, the Republican who took 43% of the statewide vote against Gov. Jay Inslee, has taken a page from President Donald Trumps playbook by attempting to sow doubts about the election results and lobbing unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud. In recent days, he and his campaign manager, Chris Gergen, also have turned their anger on top Washington Republicans, including Secretary of State Kim Wyman and state House Minority Leader J.T. Wilcox.

He also ran against Debbie Stabenow, in 2018, and lost.

(906 posts)Hes currently the only law enforcement for the tiny town he lives in. But they are replacing him with the local county sheriff Dept for coverage.
Hes being sued by one person for not correctly investigating a child molestation case. Just read today another lawsuit for false DUI/ drug arrest.
He believes something along the lines that we dont need government people can basically do what they want or until they run counter to his beliefs I think
Or Im sure if I ran the stop sign in his town Id get a ticket.
He sounds like a Randy Weaver kind of guy
And the list goes on.
I am so glad Gov Inslee won that race.

(29,098 posts)Culp was the Police Chief of the small city, Republic....population of about 1000. The fact he was even nominated to run by the GOP demonstrates the paltry pool of viable candidates in their stable. Frankly, I'm surprised he did as well as he did statewide. There are a small army of right wing keyboard warriors and trolls though who relentlessly attack Inslee full bore on any community board or comment section they can find.
I think I read that he lost his position as Police Chief recently as the town decided to outsource their police to the county.
He has nothing left but debt and needs to hang on to pay the bills. The Eastern Washington rural wackos will continue to send money. I haven't paid much attention to him so was surprised to hear he is now pissed at Kim Wyman who is perhaps the most normal and ethical Republican in the state. She's done a good job as our Secretary of State and in managing our vote by mail. If she was a Democrat I would have voted for her but I am now and for the for see able future only Blue no matter who.

(922 posts)Recently fired due to downsizing, he was the only sheriff in a small town. High school education. Where did he ever get the idea he could run a state government?
His claim to fame was rejecting the govenors covid restrictions. And refusal to enforce a citizen initiative recently passed prohibiting 18 years old from purchasing AR 15s.

Rural Washington is kind of Wild West-y, at least in their own minds. Gov. Inslee is very popular with most of us, and is the main reason were staving off the virus relatively well in spite of having it the longest and having Idaho on one side.
