Trump's argument if he gets to the Supreme Court.

"I expected to get Alito and Thomas' vote, and since I gave Kavanaugh and Gorsuch a lifetime position, and then hired on Amy Coney Barrett for the job of her life, how could they ever vote against me?"

He expects them to show complete loyalty and appreciation.

If even one of them votes against him, they will be forever on his shitlist and will receive numerous threats from his supporters.

How could they!

during the impeachment was basically ceremonial. Mitch McConnell was the one with the real power. This, however, is a different issue. It's Roberts' court.

Trial, as in allow witnesses. Justice isn't a show, or shouldn't be.

That abject bootlicking may actually come to pass.
Much as with Barr.

We must continue to pray for some creatures with spines to show themselves.

Trumpy just wants them to do what he wants with no rationale, no argument. “Just install me. I’ve done you favors!”

Trumpy missed this part of the “transaction”: he no longer has leverage over his three picks. They’re immune to any of his vengeful actions. They’re in lifetime appointments. In typical Trumpian fashion, they all can stiff him and refuse to pay him back without consequences. However, there likely WILL be consequences if they install him. The USSC will lose any credibility as an institution, and its justices will be vulnerable to impeachment.

I suppose Altitude Express, Inc. v. Zarda that expanded the Civil Rights Act to cover LGTBQ folks, with Gorsuch writing the majority opinion, is lost on him. Even if they take it up, which is beyond remotely doubtful as nothing they've put forward so far has a gram of merit, he'll get at most 3 votes. Maybe less. He must really, really, really be afraid of prosecution.

merits, or lack of, in the case:
Think about it. They have LIFE TIME positions. Why would they give up their gig? If they install a dictator, they loose their power. All bets are off... the rule of law means nothing anymore and they are superfluous.

Also... he has NO friends. No will sacrifice anything for him.

Bush was 537 votes in Florida. This would be invalidating the results of several entire states.
