With unsubstantiated claims of vote-counting errors and calls to officials in several states, the South Carolina senator seems bent on reversing Joe Bidens clear victory over President Trump.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, four years ago:
Like most Americans, I have confidence in our democracy and our election system, Mr. Graham said in a statement on Twitter. If he [Trump] loses, it will not be because the system is rigged but because he failed as a candidate.
A friend writes:
"Graham acts like a fish out of water flopping around in his efforts to please Trump and hold on to power. Just look at how he changed his opinion of Trump in 2016 when he felt he would loose the primary to when he became the party candidate. Just look at how he flopped around about supreme court judge nominations and now about states rights and the election. He's a scared little man saying and doing anything he can to please his leader and keep him in power. His word means nothing, he warrants no respect. And now he has 6 more years to poison America.
The senator has suggested that this years vote represents the Republican Partys last gasp, unless something is done to reverse the current state of election operations the same system he praised in 2016.

He warrants no respect.

I think he is compromised - and has been since August 2016.

(1,178 posts)Yes, he's going way above and beyond to try and tilt this in Trump's favor, hoping it saves his ass. No matter how much he tries, though, Trump is going to take it out on everyone, including him.

I don't know why or how Lindsey Graham became such a lickspittle. But he deserves to be humiliated, become totally irrelevant and dumped into the dustbin of history.
Selling your soul for Donald Trump. What the hell was he thinking?
Not much, I surmise. Other than an addiction to power.
