I just talked a dear family member out of a 6-8 person lunch tomorrow

He is in his 80s, with his lunchmates there’d be 4 households represented.
One is a medical person, 2 are around 70, and another in early 60s.

Lovely, wonderful people.
I want them all to be alive throughout 2021. Especially him. He is irreplaceable to me.

I’m so happy he truly heard me regarding the risk. This is not the time for risk.

It would be irresponsible. Postpone it until spring. Dying is one thing, a terrible thing, but I can’t stand the thought of him suffering.

He was just falling into a holiday pattern. Going with the flow, plans made by others. After we talked, his common sense and normal caution kicked in. I’m so relieved.

DU, talk to people about their choices now. We owe it to the medical workers, especially, to try to persuade people to be sensible.

1. Talking to my 81 yr old father, he is taking it more seriously now. Saying no to TG dinners,

not going to gym (Yea). He already doesn't do restaurants. But it does feel good when those we love work at keeping self safe and not risking health.

3. I just found out that my mom's cousins family,

who run a family bakery in Germany, all got covid. The cousin's wife, Maria, died Friday. The others expect to recover.
My BIL's aunt in South Dakota Died of it last week too.
Stay home and be safe.

4. A 79 yr old relative wanted to visit us from South Carolina

:he first week in January and then go visit his grandson over in Grand Junction Colorado the following week. He's finally listening to us about what a bad idea that is right now after the grandson mentioned the number of recent covid deaths near there. And yes, he's a trumper.
