Impeach him. That would give them two years to re-energize the base—& they can do that by telling them constant lies about the dems. Then the Con would be out of the way for 2024. Seriously, it's what they should do. But since they won't, I will eat popcorn & enjoy the show, cuz the Con isn't just going to take a sledge hammer to our democracy, when he reads the growing list of GOPers who are telling him to concede, he's gonna take the hammer to their party, too.

Republicans will not need him after that...but they got to act and make it decisive. Their window closes quickly or Trump just continues to burn intensely. I’m all for what helps Democrats in the end though!

I beleive it will only be a short time and no one will admit they supported Dumpy's tactics. Once indicted by SDNY, New York and others, there will be a lot of finger pointing and no one admitting the error of their ways. They should have listened to Adam Schiff's closing arguments at the impeachment trial.

The base is full on 45, and they will bend to the frankenstein they created.

You will see opportunists like Mitt and Cotton speak out, but if 45 is still alive and free come 2024 he will run and beat them easily.

they will go into meltdown mode and their pent-up resentments will come out into the open.

There will be Repubs who will likely (secretly) work with Dems to fully take him out - so they can clear the way for a new slate of 'standard' Repubs (such as Haley, Rubio, Hawley etc) the GOP establishment views as the future.

Remember, the Repub establishment never liked Trump - and they still don't.

but lately, when the RWers and Repubs purge, it doesn't bode well for everybody else. They just get more extreme and intense.

I hope you're right, though, and they lose the ability to retain power.
