once again, the only difference is donnie makes it all more obvious.

they gave him tons of airtime over the birther nonsense. interview after interview about how he was gonna have evidence any day now, when of course no evidence was ever going to change the fact that obama's mother was from kansas so he's a natural-born citizen *case closed*.

they gave a ridiculous amount of time to the email non-scandal even though even though there was never going to be any evidence of malintent and therefore never going to be any criminality. it was all a big right-wing fantasy that they'd find the magic email to blow up hillary's career. they never even found anything embarrassing. the whole thing was a *search* for evidence because they had nothing. they ended up making a mountain out of a couple tiny molehills and couldn't even charge her with anything.

but it caused enough of a smear to kill her career anyway, and that's why they do it, because it works even when they got nothing.


so now election fraud is the latest completely made up right-wing fantasy. as usual, they go ape over the accusations and then go in search of facts, any facts, some kind of facts to back up their completely made-up claims.

but yeah, the media gives them a ton of airtime even when it's completely obvious they just made it up.

7. Ratings.

The difference between Kanye West and Trump is that West is a celebrity who, while he may draw occasional crowds, does not sit atop a supposedly serious, major political party. 73 million people did not vote for Kanye West. Trump for be...I won't type that, for worse, was elected president 4 years ago. Trump managed to provide a windfall for the various media corporations and they are not going to let something like actual reality and ethics, and the continuity of our traditions in this nation, derail them from raking in the money that they want.

If Kanye ever got on the actual ballot and made a presence known in national politics, the media would go after that as well. Also, while reality has a liberal bias, The media has a definite conservative/corporate bias and Trump and the GOP favor those entities politically and economically so they always give more air time to any supposed conservative.
