Sadly, that is arguably a reasonable man's position. But things that are arguable, by definition, two sides and all that exists between those two sides.
Being consumed by investigations and following evidence of crimes are two different things. What, for example, happens when Gina Haspel, whether still Director or not, tells the story of the Russian connections? What happens when a deputy assistant undersecretary tells of Betsy DeVoss scammerisims. What about when a driver/bodyguard for Pompeo outlines his connections to Putin and his work as Putin's conduit to Trump?
Will all of that go away? Get swept south of the pattern on the rug? Be announced and then slow walked?
Somehow I think Biden will allow his Justice Department to do what needs to be done. Perhaps by Special Prosecutor. Perhaps by some new internal task force or commission. I also think he will wave off Congress to avoid a side show. Pelosi will honor that for the right reasons. So will Schumer, if it is up to him. McConnell, for very different reasons, or not, will also avoid a public spectacle.
I think these things are certain to get investigated and prosecuted . . . . if they happened.
I think it is safe to assume, things did . . . . . happen.

I don't think ANY pResident in history has walked away from the White House with as much legal trouble following him and nipping at his heels.
BUT the fires that tRump leaves burning, all the idiots he has appointed to positions to keep himself from being impeached a hundred times over, THAT will keep Biden busy.

CISA Director Christopher Krebs had recently butted heads with the White House over his agency's Rumor Control blog, which rebuts false claims of election fraud and hacking.

Biden should not be personally involved in the investigation and prosecution.
Let me be clear, I do NOT believe Biden will protect trump, but if he were to break my heart and do so, he would be crossing my one and only red line. I would toss him into the same category as trump, mitch and the other GOP criminals.
That being said, there's no need for us to contemplate this right now. For once, I hope we can have a week or so to relax and celebrate the landslide victory over trump! We saved America, guys! That's huge!
