(6,797 posts)Wouldn't it be great if they could abolish the electoral college? If so we would never have to worry about a republican president again.

Whatever he is bullshitting about is going to eventually reach no one and it will be interesting to see if he is truly ready to sign that pact and land on Snoozmax or OAN.

(1,757 posts)Seriously...Lindsey Graham has got to be the biggest dumbfuck to grace the Senate since Rick Santorum. And that's WITH the likes of Ted Cruz and John J. Kennedy (the "J" stands for "Jackass from Louisiana" ) "serving" there with him.
And South Carolina somehow thought it was a good idea to KEEP that idiot in the Senate??? I don't fuckin' GET IT!
Perhaps Lindsay should peruse the Constitution "one more 'gain," as some like to say in his home state. Maybe he'll realize that even with Biden/Schumer/Pelosi in power they can't just unilaterally kill the Electoral College. It takes a Constitutional amendment, which requires near perfect unity from state legislatures and both houses of Congress.
Dude...stop trying to scare folks and instead explain how you pulled a 12-point win out of your ass despite most polls showing a virtual tie and turnout through the roof...

(27,633 posts)Why must the Democrats always to be the ones to extend a hand of unity only to have it slapped away?
Was my biggest criticism of Obama. Always trying to make nice with McConnell and Paul Ryan and they basically gave him the finger repeatedly. Then for the last four years, McConnell has not let any major bills Pelosi's House has passed go up for a vote in the Senate.
Also the underhanded Senate approval of Amy Barrett after refusing to confirm the Merrick Garland appointment.
But we have to play nice and unify. I'm so sick of it.

(14,443 posts)Knowing rump though as we all do, since hes going down, I wonder if he wont find pleasure in revealing where all their skeletons are buried once he is dragged out of the White House. Lindsay might think that if he remains very vocal against the Democrats, Trump may not be as vindictive, but I wouldnt bet money on that if I were him.

(8,387 posts)which will then have a quorum and then can investigate the election spending in South Carolina as Lindsay himself demanded when it appeared he might lose. The GOP no longer have all the federal regulatory agencies in their pocket. Ain't no fun when the rabbit got the gun.
