has me confused. Doesn't he need to be officially charged with a crime first? Can't seen how that's going to happen before January 20.

Or am I missing something here? Call me CC (a Confused Canuck).

For example when Nixon was pardoned he was not charged with a crime all potential crimes were pardoned up until the time of the pardon. There is a downside he has to admit to every crime or risk a new crime of perjury. The blanket pardon only goes up to the time he was pardoned. It makes your head spin there is a serious need to reconsider Presidential pardons.

It's hard to give up something that a president of your own party can use to give criminals in his administration a get out of jail free card. So far as I know, Republicans are the only ones who have used that power politically.

Amending the constitution takes almost an act of God these days.

Nixon never fulfilled the requirements for receiving a pardon. He did not admit guilt for any crime for which the blanket pardon was issued. Rather, Ford’s pardon ended up being a political statement (ending the long national nightmare) instead of a legal one.

Others may know more about this. It seems as if the parameters for Nixon’s pardon can be easily expanded to future crimes, since the absence of culpability is present in both Nixon’s case and in a hypothetical “future actions” pardon.

All the people that reced this OP were making light of the people that were raped and or murdered by this monster which happened to be most African American men & other Gays.

Now insert other minorities or the other gender into that tweet & tell me if you would still have that many records.

Fucking disgusting.

Just so we're clear: Jeffrey Dahmer served longer in the Military, was accused of raping fewer people, was responsible for fewer deaths, and paid more taxes than Donald Trump.
