(14,307 posts)It does seem better now, but I also had similar problems on jury duty. I sure hope that whatever was causing clicks to not work is fixed.

(23,710 posts)It seems that whatever is happening is being caused by a general issue with our hosting provider, which is affecting sites hosted on servers in the mid-Atlantic region (that includes DU).
Hopefully they will be able to solve this soon, but unfortunately there's nothing we can do ourselves to fix it. Performance will likely be intermittent until the issue is resolved...

(16,254 posts)When I try to copy the link, which looks legit, I actually get the headline to the first cartoon.

(13,560 posts)I just updated to the latest Is for my iPad and now the DU content moves everywhere on the screen with just a touch. It will frequently and suddenly also change size so the the whoe page is about 6-point type. I dont think its the OS because this is the only site where it happens. Is anyone else having similar problems on an IPad?
Sloumeau
(2,657 posts)but just now, on this posting, it seemed to work OK.

BobTheSubgenius
(12,245 posts)I wouldn't be upset about it - NOT that I am suggesting anyone is butthurt over this issue. What I mean is that it would take an awful lot more than that for DU to lower my opinion of DU.
Considering the hostile environment in which it "lives" and the size and complexity it has reached, it works REMARKABLY well. I am always grateful for every aspect of this wonderful "place."
DonaldsRump
(7,715 posts)I finally know how to get recs....just mention that the rec button isn't working!
SamKnause
(14,945 posts)I like they way both of you think.
Did you check out EarlG's post ??? It is number 41. He is aware of all the issues.
I was just glad to know it wasn't coming from my end.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving.
DonaldsRump
(7,715 posts)It will be the best Thanksgiving in many years and the worst Thanksgiving ever, both at the same time.
I've never hit triple-digits on recs, but now I know a way (said with tongue FIRMLY in cheek!)
Peace & Love.
SamKnause
(14,945 posts)We were right all along.
Too bad nobody listened.
DonaldsRump
(7,715 posts)I would have been a hippie too. I guess I am, but maybe "don't look the part," as they say.
But, you know, people are listening. Maybe not everyone, but more than the haters.
If we can keep our young folks engaged and voting, maybe we will get there yet!
I think you'd appreciate this OP I posted a couple of days back (check out both videos): https://www.democraticunderground.com/100214611155
All the very best! Stay safe.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
